I had a talk with a friend about this and he pointed out that couples often do draw each other over and over again. I wonder how much of this is natural, healthy love and how much of it is going a bit into that category of a divine muse. Putting someone on a pedestal, a fallen angel. (Also, I found some relevant things and another interesting use of the geography just west of Anacortes Wa.

I've had a few more thoughts, one being similar uses of emotional energy towards things that cannot not feel it. It feels a bit silly but even something like having a picture of pikachu in your car. Does having it there give you a place to put your desire to have that feeling of cuteness and adoration? Does loving a fake electric mouse make you better at loving baby-like things? Does looking at the cute pikachu get your cuteness out of the way and you don't feel a need to go help some small living thing? Even dogs and cats taking the place of children because they have similar features (and you know why not? not everybody needs a baby or to take care of them in our current situation, so having a dog lets you have a place to put that type of energy - plants killing bugs accidentally with caffeine and so on)

And it goes further, again with animism this idea of the love of material possesions and how much humans love them. The idea of monkeys making sense of tools they carry with them that aren't monkeys and getting the affection of those that come with them and so a rock is like another monkey. The history of objects, so again, Gilgamesh's Door.

Another thing to take with me when, you don't know you love until it's gone. How can we want for something we have? Ahh, desire, desire, desire
